Timeline: MD C7 2000 hours, After Part 1

<<<< After ON =/\> most Starfleet officers know how to take care of themselves. She flagged down a server. "Paisley, what are you eating? You have that look."

Paisley chuckled. "Carbs and fat," she replied. "You know, the usual," she said. "Mozzarella sticks. We could get some apps and share them," she said. "I ALWAYS have that look," she retorted. It was true, she ate constantly. She always had snacks in the office, and really couldn't even spell "lettuce".

A waiter approached and Kendri leaned forward and spoke. "Can we get a few appetizers. Something with cheese, and then whatever the Chef recommends."

"And the bacon wrapped scallops!" Paisley interjected. "And another one of these," she said, handing off her now-empty glass.

Rachel set her glass forward as well, also empty. "Another for me too please. And the appetizers sound great, I didn't get dinner so I definitely need to eat. If the chef has a great steak recipe I'm down for that."

Soros was genuinely enjoying the company of the other two ladies so far, it was always hard to be the new girl, especially on such a large ship.

Paisley was having a good time. It was fun to hang out with the other women sometimes-it was a nice break from Jason and the other guys in Engineering. Sure, they could out drink each other, but she wasn't really allowed to act "like a girl" and she missed it sometimes.

As they waited for their appetizers, Kendri reflected on the friendships she has made while in Starfleet. The people here had become her family when she had essentially no one. It was one of the many reasons she liked to try to help the new people feel welcome.
