Dear Bradley, it has been a year since I was posted to Department Head school. I feel well educated now, more than ever before. I feel ready to take command of a Science division aboard ship.

After eight years on the Wayans and eight years at Starbase 51, getting a real assignment seems like a dream. I haven't had a chance to review who else is on the crew, but I will get to that soon.

I feel like a new chapter is starting in my life. I feel like I am about to embark on a great adventure. Being a full Lieutenant now feels pretty good.

I just hope the Columbia has a good gym and someone else who likes basketball. It is pretty boring shooting baskets alone. I hope there are also music lovers there as well, for the same reason.

Dear Bradley, I am now situated in my cabin on the Columbia. I hope you enjoy your bed. OK it's my pillow but still. Anyways, I met the Captain. He likes sports, big plus! I hope he isn't the only one. I must listen to some Andorian music.

We are going to survey an entire planet! A science officer's dream. It's what I live for. It's what I having been trained to do. I hope my team is up for it as well.

All my belongings made it ok. My guitar and keyboard are undamaged. I brought a few civilian outfits, including the black nightie. And my Academy basketball uniform. It is quite comfortable to play in and still fits just fine!
